Training hard but not seeing results? ⁉️
This is a question that I get asked a lot, that they’ve been putting in hours at the gym but aren’t feeling like they’re making progress. Here’s a few points we need to review:
1. Stop chasing too many goals. When we try to achieve too many things at once we can end up burning out (hello, guilty!) Focus on one thing at a time, and if a couple of your goals align on the same path, bonus. Choose a goal and stick to it. Build consistency and allow the chance to see some results
2. Accountability. Tracking progress is vital, whether it’s with a coach or on your own, but it has to be honest!
3. Be efficient. You go to the gym for the purpose of improving your physical goals. Go in, get shit done, and get out of there. Don’t waste time. This is your time for improvement and growth, and possible a time to destress as well. Focus on your reps and you’ll have a better sessions.
4. Keep it simple, but not so simple that it’s ineffective. Things don’t need to be complicated just ‘because it can.’ An insane workout doesn’t necessarily make it effective. Keep it simple and focus on small, continuous improvements.
