We walked by Harvey Milk's old camera shop and overheard someone's coming out story. "I was 24 years old and living in Chicago," he said. "I still hadn't told my parents. I took one day off from work, stayed home and watched all the Harvey Milk documentaries. That night I came out to my mom."
This is one of my favorite moments from San Francisco - police standing in front of a rainbow portrait of Harvey.
It's been almost 40 years and the fight continues. Because without hope, life is not worth living. Cc @elodiejing
