Silencers where allowed in Iceland in 2016 after a long struggle. The turning point was a video produced by the Danish hunting association that showcased that by reducing the noise you disturbed the wildlife a whole lot lesser than before. One argument against the ban was also the impact on the shooters hearing but by dropping the dB down by 30% is equivalent from being at a rock concert to using a vacuum cleaner. Today we are allowed to use silencers on all centerfired cartrigdes but the ban still stands on rimfire rifles and shotguns. I didn’t jump on the silencer train right after they lifted the ban, I thought it extended the rifle barrel to much and I’d have troubles climbing down narrow cracks in the mountains but now I’ll say that all these concerns were completely unnecessary and the pros outweigh to cons to that level I’ll always pick a silencer over a regular barrel tip or even a muzzle break. In the early days of summer we shoot a lot of foxes and winged predators as they attack the Common Eider settlement at our farm, that means we sometimes fire across the pond with large caliber rifles , I’ve noticed a great difference in the behavior of the Eider since we started using silencers. They shots won’t rattle them nearly as much as before. So I would recommend silencer use for every hunter both while hunting as during training sessions. Do you use silencers ? hotpicta__hotpicta__hotpicta__hotpicta__hotpicta__hotpicta__hotpicta__hotpicta__hotpicta___#nordichunter#jakt#jaktbilder#jagt#jagd#jager#jägare#caza#chasse#iceland#modernhuntsman#villmarksliv#whatgetsyououtdoors#mittjegerliv#dinjaktbild#jaktforlivet#hunting#rifle#wildlife#passionforhunting#härkila#rävjakt#foxhunting#predatorhunting#predatorcontrol#silencer#longrange#longrangeshooting#riflehunting @harkila_official @nordichunter @freyr_devik_silencers

Intermittent fasting!!! My favourite method for maintaining a lean and healthy body 🙌🏼 (definition: when you abstain from food for a specific period of time - usually 12 to 16 hours)
The practice of fasting causes metabolic changes within the body, typically 3 to 5 hours After eating - the body enters a ‘post absorptive’ state.
What are the benefits?
1. Weight loss (when fasting, your body taps into its fat reserves, this = slow steady weight loss!)
2. Flexible dieting - you can eat more of the foods you love within your eating window (but try to keep it healthy😉)
3. Digestive relief - your body works hard all day long breaking down food from the outside world into tiny molecules... it deserves a break!
4. Clarity and focus - during your fast your mind will be clearer and you will feel more able to focus (try it for yourself if you don’t believe me!) What do you think of intermittent fasting? Have you tried it? Leave me a comment below! 🌱🙋🏼♀️
