That saying: "If it were easy, everyone would be doing it," is so true to where we do not fully understand the magnitude of the statement.
There are quite a few that seem to believe entrepreneurship is glamorous; well, yes and most certainly, no. There are long grueling hours in the day to breathe life into your business(es). Think of your business as a small boat. First goal is getting it afloat. Second, it's keeping it afloat. Third, it's adding details to make it better and more efficient. Eventually, you create a grand ship but need a crew. Eventually, you'll have several ships, etc.
Hi! I'm on the first the goal. 😊 Everyone starts somewhere. Firsthand, there are a lot of discouraging moments, but when those highlights happen? Mannnnnn, it feels great!!
Those discouraging moments are when you learn not only about your business, but also, yourself. I will forever be a student remaining open to lessons that may not even be mine to learn. Ultimately, I do not want to be a boss; I want to be a LEADER. With everything I'm going through, I know in my heart of hearts, I am just that. I also know for some of you, you're a LEADER too! 😁
GIVE YOURSELF PERMISSION.
Banana spice bars by @thevisualveggie 🍌
Recipe: 3 medium bananas (overripe is best. 3 tbsp applesauce, unsweetened. 1 ½ cups rolled oats. ½ cup brown rice flour. 2 tbsp flax meal. 2 tbsp creamy almond butter. 2 tbsp creamy cashew butter. 1 tsp vanilla extract. 2 tsp baking powder. 1 tsp baking soda. 1 tbsp cinnamon. ¼ tsp all spice. ½ tsp ground ginger. ½ tsp ground cardamon. 3 tbsp coconut sugar.
Nut Butta Drizzle: ¼ cup creamy cashew butter. ¼ cup creamy almond butter. 1 tsp cinnamon. 2 tsp coconut nectar (can sub with maple syrup). ¼ cup almond milk
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and coat/spray a 8x8 pyrex baking dish with a thin layer of coconut oil.
In a medium/large bowl, add all dry ingredients and mix briefly, so that ingredients are well dispersed.
In a blender, add banana, vanilla extract, and applesauce. Blend until bananas are a creamy liquid.
Make a little indent in the middle of the dry ingredients bowl, and pour in banana mixture, along with almond + cashew butters. Mix until no dry ingredients remain. The batter will be a bit sticky at this point.
If you feel as though the mixture is a little dry or your bananas were on the smaller size, add a tablespoon or more of applesauce.
Transfer mixture to pyrex, and bake in oven for 25-30 min. Remove from oven and let the bars cool for at least 10 min before cutting/serving.
During this time, you can make the topping. Simply add ingredients in a bowl, and whisk until almond milk + nut butters have combined into a perfect drizzle. Now you can add to the top of the bars if you're serving immediately, or save for later. -
