Seguimos teniendo presente al #Ashtanga 💗
En breve voy a ordenar el tiempo que dedico a la práctica de asana, de una forma que no he probado nunca antes. Os iré contando qué tal va 😉
Mientras tanto, dejarse inspirar por retos en el mundo virtual viene bien, teniendo muy presente que el verdadero trabajo es personal, en nuestra esterilla.
Virabhadrasana A and B or Warrior pose! These poses work to build such strength and are amazing building blocks for any practice. They are also ones that I always feel I can keep working on. There are so many tiny details and taking pictures of your practice really shows you your progress. It’s hard not to look at them and pick apart the pose, which means it’s probably really good for me to keep doing it and to practice just accepting and being aware! 🙃 #ashtangamondays (or Tuesdays?!) .
Virabhadrasana B & A. I know that it’s not Monday any more but was out of service yesterday - #unplug! Some tips for this pose that helped me a lot:
- Bring the thumbs on the thigh & drop it, connect the core.
- Make sure the knee is over the heel
- Connect the legs into the pelvic floor
- Knees. Try lifting the toes not to go forward and collapse on the knee, stay in the middle
- Shoulders. Can put hands on the hips / parallel to the floor. Work the way up progressively
- Neck. Interlace your fingers and accompany your head with the hand behind the neck.
While taking photos I forgot about the world and just flowed. It's been a while since I've allowed myself to lead. It was refreshing and I love how this photo turned out.
Week 12 of #AshtangaMondays is #Virabhadrasana A and B. I am holding just the Nava today or #warriorpose. Day late but I'm here!

It seems I never accomplish to post on Monday, but I swear I did practice yesterday and I was SOOOO excited to try a new transition 😍 I chose the video where my Warriors are not perfect but where I did my best jump to Chaturanga (first one I kicked up too much and almost felt on my tv 😏 too excitement I guess!) 😁 Starting to feel new things in this challenge, new positive emotions 😊 See you next week! ♥️ (video speed up 2x)
We are so happy to announce our March Schedule for #AshtangaMondays - a different kind of challenge and a new playground for both new and experienced ashtangis where we every Monday in 2018 will share our love for the ashtanga practice, and explore and deepen our practices even further with hopefully many of you!

#AshtangaMondays Week 12 (Mar 19)
It is pretty bad when it hurts and is tougher to perform a forward fold than the Virabhadrasanas. Gosh, hamstring and inflamed ligaments in the “sit” bones are brutal and take a while to heal. .
I do love this ashtanga sequence and practice it often.

#Virabhadrasana1 and #Virabhadrasana2 are as far as I have been going in my practice the last two weeks.
I’ve had shoulder pain and the majority of my practice over the last week has been spent drilling my shoulders back and down in Chaturanga over and over again with great deliberation. I am regularly impressed with how asana can harm when practiced improperly and heal when practiced in alignment. I habituated poor alignment in Chaturanga over the last few months and that, coupled with too much computer work, contributed to shoulder pain. Now that I’m realigning and retraining my body my shoulders are healing. Soon I hope to be back to the full primary and well aligned for all of the chaturanga filled vinyasa. I love the joy and struggle of learning from the practice. 🙏
