When teaching about wolf conservation it's also just as important to teach of the ecological factors that go into the equation. Humans have damaged the ecosystem enough with deforestation which creates a carbon bomb each time a tree is cut down. Elk then trample aspen stands which could have helped to replenished the much needed forests. If wolves were in those regions they would have cut down on elk over populations. We are also food conscious on what kinds of meat we give to our animals and ourselves. We don't feed too much beef since it contributes to cattle industrialization but instead feed and eat more chicken. Cattle release methane into the atmosphere which is a harmful greenhouse gas. One unit of methane has the equivalent heat trapping ability to 23 units of carbon dioxide. Changing your diet to eating less beef can help emmensely for climate change to balance out the ecosystem a bit more. .
It has been a while since I've posted anything of this handsome boy! ❤️ I'll be heading back to Colorado Springs this spring and please contact me if you're interested in booking a photo session with Leonidas! 🐺
