One of my best crate digs in recent years, a $5 OP of the Blue Velvet soundtrack I found in a second hand shop a couple years back. And you have to understand, I'm a nut for the Lynch/Badalamenti collaborations, so this was way more than just a good find, it was a total holy grail moment. I always loved this score, Badalamenti got to really bust out a no-foolin' main title on this one, in all its Bernard Herrmann-esque glory. It draws heavily on Herrmann, and the album also contains many of the iconic pop songs from the movie. Also, Mysteries of Love, the Cocteau Twins knock-off that ended up leading to two albums and a music theatre piece conceived by Badalamenti and Lynch and featuring singer Julee Cruise. Also, dig the Myer price tag; I can't believe they even stocked it!
Okay. Little understanding here; I’m obviously not as bad as this guy, it’s really just the addictions and psychological issues. Frank Booth is a character off of a film called “Blue Velvet”. He is horrible, psychotic, sadistic and most human villain I have ever seen. He has two sides to his sexual arousal, one he calls “daddy”, who beats and demeans his victims, and another called “baby” who sexually abuses and humiliates them. He hides a woman away to give him the sexual desires he craves and to be his “lover” and his emotions swing left and right. He is addicted to some sort of gas which makes him even more violent and aggressive - trust me ladies, you better run. #nichememes#niche#niche#frankbooth#bluevelvet#maniscrazy#bored#mood
