———————————————————————Here is one of my favorite hardbacks, Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. It is the collector’s edition, and just came across a copy randomly at the mall. was lucky enough to get the chance to pick this up for a really good deal at Books-a-Million! I got lucky with this one, and I’ll cherish this beauty forever! 📚#fangirl#rainbowrowell#collectorsedition#bookcover
Hey everyone!!! Idk if any of you still remember me but it’s me Angeli lol I’ve been on a 5-month hiatus because I’m currently busy with masters study and honestly I’m in a really bad book slump 😩 I’m getting back to reading tho because I was required to read Frankenstein for my final paper analysis and I’m loving it!! What are you guys currently reading? Any new releases I should check out?
Book and bump! 😃
Hope everyone had a great weekend celebrating St. Patrick’s Day! Saturday was such a long day/night for me and by Sunday, I could barely move around and didn’t feel too good either. You know that feeling when your body is trying to fight something inside and it makes you physically tired and unwell? That’s where I’m at right now. Hopefully, it will be over soon.
I am currently reading BLACK WIDOW by Christopher Brookmyre and RESTORE ME by Tahereh Mafi. I just started both not too long ago so I can’t tell you much about them. My reading taste has changed dramatically these past weeks so I’ve been checking out books from the library just to test them out before making a purchase 📚
Does anyone still use the library? 😃🤓
➵ 💭 QOTD: What books made you want to visit a certain country? (mainly because the story is set there)
Scotland! Because of reading @diana_gabaldon ‘s Outlander series and watching its tv series, I fell in love with Scotland, their culture, their language (Scottish Gaelic) and of course their accent 😅 not to mention James Fraser, I couldn’t think of any better actor to play Jamie other than @samheughan ❤️.
Have you guys read this series? It’s a riveting historical fiction, romance and adventure which transcends us to the limits of time and love. After reading this, all I want is to be is Jamie’s Sassenach! 💞
Got this book at @_fullybooked and this beautiful wool coat from @claritascloset ! ❤️
[20 Maret] Girl on Cover
💀 Ini adalah salah satu kover buku yang lumayan menipu dengan isi ceritanya. Saya kira awalnya ini novel romance, tapi ternyata novel thriller. 💀

Happy Monday Bookies!💙🌬 The Bear and the Nightingale was one of my first reads of the year and gave me all sorts of feels💙❄ If your interested in my thoughts keep reading😊💙
4🌟 - I have put off writing my thoughts about this story because I had such a strong and mixed emotional experience while reading. It is at once both beautifully eerie and harsh, but also somehow lovely, timeless, and endearing. It felt a lot more like reading a classical fairy tale than a modern novel - timeless and effortlessly lovely. I adored the elements of Russian folklore, fairy tales, myth, and legend that were weaved together so thoroughly throughout the entire story. This story carried me on its journey and is beautifully and smoothly written. I absolutely loved the use of the Russian names and endearments!
Vasilisa Petrovna is born into a magical bloodline straight out of traditional bedtime stories. She is an adventurous and independent woman born in a time and place where women were expected to marry and bear sons or commit themselves to a convent. Vasya fiercely loves her siblings. The siblings bond, growth, and roles remind me a lot of the Stark siblings from Game of Thrones. Vasya's childhood nurse, Dunya, raised the children on darkly magical fairy tales and Vasya especially loved the story of the winter demon. The winter demon, Morozko, needs a story all his own! He was darkly magical and surprisingly unexpected. Anna was the classic evil step mother from a fairytale and I detested her.
The ending was compelling and breathtaking. I desperately want to know more of Vasya's story but the ending was satisfying and I would not have expected a sequel if I had not already known this is the first in a trilogy.
But did I like it? I'm conflicted. I feel that I both adored the writing and story but also didn't always love the reading experience. Reading made me feel both cold and sleepy, wistfully dreaming of sitting by the hearth of warm Russian oven with its own domovoi.
