Week two in my 52 week project - “A Long Way to Go”. This week’s image is all about embracing the now instead of pining for the future. I wanted to showcase the two sides of myself - one who keeps wishing for summer to hurry up and get here, and the other that I am working on drawing out - who embraces the now in all aspects - including the beauty the winter holds. Be sure to follow along to see my new images each week!
My work seems to do a bit of a personality change in the winter months. Although I love my warm summer, natural light, sunset family sessions, I get a bit of a break from those during the winter months and I dive into my studio work which I also love!! I actually like the change. It keeps things interesting and challenges me to keep learning and feed my creativity. This is a recent portrait that I created using a two light setup. Luckily I have a ‘live-in’ model who still ‘works’ for ice cream, not cash, like my older ‘live-in’ model. 😂📸
