DESIGNER SPOTLIGHT: MEET ADE HOGUE-@adehogue- Designer, Letterer, Art Director
@adehogue Congratulations on your spot in PRINT Magazine' 2017 Class of Top Creatives Under 30! 🙌🏿🙌🏿🏆 • • • • • • • • •
I’m absolutely thrilled and even more humbled to share with you guys that I have been featured as one of PRINT Magazine’s 2017 New Visual Artists—an annual roundup of 15 of the best creatives today under 30! It’s a huge honor because so many of the people I have looked up to in the design community have been on this exact same list before me. And I’m super proud to be listed alongside a number of absolutely amazing artists in 2017. -
Along with this honor, I was asked to create a cover design to showcase my skills as an artist/designer. My cover is a custom-lettered, 1:12 scale version of a magazine cover constructed of flowers (duh) and acrylic paint on a large roll of paper. Big thanks to @print_mag for this feature, and for letting have a little fun!
Dinner party? Our first interior project is actually our own office! The center piece table is a 4’x8’ marble top with birch wood designed and fabricated by us. We also added black steel track lighting throughout the ceiling.
| ABSENT LIGHT | ▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️ Sometimes, light can enhance the darkness and mystery of a space. Norway exhibits a unique relationship to light, bound by the constraints of solar limitation. This installation captures the absence of light through a moody luminance. Nothing lies in darkness that is impossible to view in the light. Rather, darkness compels us to question and stretch our perception of what’s right in front of us. ▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️ Exhibit: Nordic Light at Nordisca Museet |

The XI towers in New York will "dance" with each other, says Bjarke Ingels
BIG has released new renderings of the pair of #towers it is building beside New York's High Line, which #architect Bjarke Ingels says are shaped out of "mutual courtesy" for one another's views.
