Hesitated posting this pic, so used a blurry version. I wanted to use this as an example of what I do in the holistic wellness business and how taking micronutrients on top of macronutrients can maintain muscle and metabolism. I haven't been to the gym in almost 5 weeks since moving (again), and only have been back in the gym for 3 months after a 2 yr hiatus, I also haven't exactly been eating the best, but I also know how to eat clean and take my vitamins and minerals everyday. Dealing with PCOS (poly cystic ovarian syndrome) it is NOT easy for me to keep weight off. It takes time and consistency to reboot the body to operate optimally. Being thin and fit doesn't necessarily mean you're well; what I mean by this is, I have beautifully thin clients come in who suffer from autoimmune disorders, diabetes and other ailments that still make them miserable. Being a previous fibromyalgia sufferer, I know this feeling all too well. What I do is overall immunity reboot and preventative health. If you're suffering or even want to just take a preventative health measure, contact me!!!
#todayinhistory in 1910, Typhoid Mary [Mary Mallon] is freed from her first periods of forced isolation and goes on to cause several further outbreaks of typhoid in the New York area. 📰 Interesting fact: Although she harbored the extremely contagious bacteria that cause typhoid fever, Mallon never demonstrated any of its symptoms—which include fever, headaches and diarrhea. Immune to the disease herself, Mallon was the first person in the United States identified as an asymptomatic carrier of the pathogen. “She denied ever having been sick with the disease, and it is likely she never knew she had it, suffering only a mild flu-like episode,” writes Judith Walzer Leavitt in her book “Typhoid Mary: Captive to the Public’s Health.” “The case is without parallel in medical records,” the San Jose Evening News reported in 1907. “Never has there been an instance, as the present, where a woman who never had typhoid fever should prove a veritable germ factory.” #disease#typhoidmary#contamination
Mandy, my dearest friend in NYC doesn’t stop! She recently worked with @gigihadid and many others in the past weeks at the #NYFW. Mandy is one of our first people to share her #strokeofgenius with a rare Neuromuscular disease ending her career in dance and modeling in her 20s. Mandy bounced back and now she’s working with some of the greats in fashion! Thank you, Mandy, for sharing your incredible journey and keep continuing to inspire! ❤️
