Birthday shoutout to this amazing woman right here. She gives me inspiration to do things that I wouldn't imagine being possible if she hadn't done them first: going to college, living outside the U.S., doing photography, the list goes on and on. She's the best sister I could've asked for and I'm glad she got over that phase when we were younger when she would constantly be trying to kill me 😂🤣. Happy birthday, Mari!
In @rosecafletic's last blog post, she asked me and other feminists what makes me a bad feminist. I talked about my tendency to buy fast fashion. Fast fashion pollutes Mama Earth and those making the clothes deal with hazardous working conditions, too many hours, too little pay, and even sexual harassment. That's why I'm so glad to be a @dazey_la ambassador! In my effort to be more eco-conscious and a better feminist, I bought this super comfy sustainable t-shirt from a small woman-owned business! She makes everything herself and each t-shirt is absolutely cruelty-free (for animals and humans!) Use ANNABELLE10 thru the link in my bio for 10% off your own! Slow fashion is the future💪🏻 📸: @rosecafletic
Conception, a glorious occasion of gifts, photographs, and celebration.... my conception, at home and a secret. (I was born in China during a time when conception was not viewed as a gift unless it was your first child of male gender.) The idea that I was abandoned and unloved followed me throughout a lot of my childhood, because let’s be honest... kids are tough. They will relentlessly tease, and make jokes, and poke fun at what they don’t understand. When most are at an age of trying to define themselves, I was trying to do the same. But with so much of my backstory a mystery, how could I successfully write my future? So on those nights when I struggled with an identity crisis, I was told to hold my head high and look in the mirror because my face is a reflection of my birth mother and birth father. My almond shaped eyes show where I’ve come from. They reflect my past, they express my present, and they shine for my future~
