*Trap* queen. LOL I am really digging how my shoulders are looking these days.
A lot of things in my life seem to be balancing well. Training, social life, professional duties-- I was even featured on the front page of my local paper today. Wild.
I have to keep my nose down and my eyes ahead of me. Our time will come, but there isn't a damn thing left for *me* to do but keep pushing forward. SRN
About to hammer out a solo Sunday training session. I really miss having a dedicated training partner.

Sorry for the delay girls, but after days of podcast issues we finally have a new episode on IOS (at least) 🤣 Huge appreciation to @dominiquebinns for sharing her honest opinions and experiences about competing and what life is like after you decide to put the breaks on your competing side of life or stop all together. Have you stopped competing? Or thought about stopping competing all together? Comment below 💋
Good morning beauties!🌞
Let talk about exercise!
Exercise should NOT be something you do to punish your body, because of guilt, or even so you don’t “fall from your routine”. Exercise is a form of appreciation and gratitude towards yourself and your body for taking control of your health, taking care of your body and nourishing your mind. You can do it for a goal, but just keep in mind that HEALTH should always come first.
At least this is how I view it... but it was not always like this.
Do you every have a day where you body is sore, you could really use the rest but then think to yourself “I can’t fall of my routine? I have an event/vacation coming up? Etc.”?
Well that was going through my head just a few days ago. I had full intentions of getting up and going to the gym before work but when I woke up I felt like a 300lb brick. I hadn’t gotten much sleep, I was sore and overall just exhausted. I tried talking myself into it but I just couldn’t, and then started to feel guilty. I didn’t want to break my routine as it took so long for me to find it again, plus, I had a trip planned and I didn’t want to lose progress. I knew I was going away for the weekend and even though I was doing a hike (can just be as strenuous as the gym and is “good enough”) one of the days I knew that would be my only “workout” for the weekend. Literally a multitude of thoughts running through my head.
The thing is, that is just how life goes. Sometimes you just don’t have time, motivation, strength, etc, but you should never have guilt over it. One, two, three, seven rest days in a row is not going to take away from your progress. You are not “punishing” yourself for listening to it, you are showing it love and gratitude. And when times feel tough remember life goes on! Happy Sunday!
