Copper & Cami Sundays: this picture was taken on Coppers very first hike! Copper was rescued by @angelcitypits from the South LA shelter. When I was taking her out, I noticed that she kept her mouth tightly shut. This meant she was a little nervous in her new surroundings. Copper was also so curious, which I loved! The more and more I brought her out and about she started to relax. Before I knew it that nervous pup turned into a goofy, sweet, confident young dog who now has a big puppy smile on her face 🧡 Dogs need time to build trust and feel safe, just like people.
This poor guy got stuck with ME as his adventure buddy; the girl who needs help getting her shoes on, can’t get into her own sleeping bag and can only carry about a fraction of our gear. I don’t know how he does it, but I’m so thankful. Even when we only get two hours of sleep, get clouded in for sunrise and attacked by buggies, I still enjoy every moment spent with you 💞
