The beauty of a solid colored dress is that you can still tell a story with it by choosing accessories to be the main details of it. A beautiful backdrop of emerald green in a fit and slight flare dress is very summery and also very lady-like. ALSO, attempting different contouring techniques for a rounder face like mine. I have been watching a lot of makeup tutorials lately hoping to pick up some techniques that I can get better at. Shoes, scarf, & dress are @lillypulitzer, orange handbag is @katespadeny ; necklace and earrings are @kendrascott 🍊#livecolorfully#sunnystateofmind#lillypulitzer#katespade#resortwear#ootd
I tried @purebarrettown for the first time yesterday during a pop-up class and had a blast! It’s everything I love about yoga, nothing I hate about pilates (lol), all with booming, upbeat music. The body weight exercises were also a nice break from a huge barbell, though I do love the sound of a heavy barbell clicking against the rack.
I must have worked hard, because I came home with pizza on the brain. I made a chicken, basil, and onion pizza on @traderjoes Cauli crust (9/10- easy to make, thin and crispy, good enough that I went back for another slice hehe). I ate a huge salad topped with yogurt based avo ranch on the side to get my veggies in because #health.
I type this huge caption to say that movement is supposed to be healthy and fun. Sure, you can do a program 7 days a week and look incredible, but if you lose the joy in it or it causes you stress, is your exercise plan really healthy? Movement can be a walk with your friend, stretching in your living room floor, or a 2 hour gym session. We should do movement because it makes us feel better. For me, most days it’s the awesome workout and community at my CrossFit gym, but it’s also okay to break the routine and try something new (or to just take a break to recover after a draining day).
