Miss you 🖤
In reflection... I’m feeling blessed. MY ancestors have helped me achieve so much, to God be Glory...I’m sure my Cuz lol walks with me... recently my church family gave me the opportunity to check in with a different part of who I am spiritually. I don’t pray to the ancestors but I certainly acknowledge them..I know I AM in large because of who they were and were NOT. #respectyourelders#lightacandle#family#reflection#missyou
This photo that a took some time ago at the beach just reminded me of Dina. Always bright, warming up people’s hearts and always shining when things are dull✨ You always manage to create the most amazing and most beautiful sunrise and sunsets we’ve ever seen❤️✨ Thank you Dina for always lighting our day❤️✨ #dinasarmy#lightacandle#dancefordina
Fullness........ celebrating birthday joy, sharing special times with friends and family. And the passing of Beloved Teekhee who would have been 15 in August. Felt beautiful to sit in the garden with Baloo simply lighting a candle, feeling gratitude for the full spectrum of life’s fullness.
We are settling into a new rhythm of life without Teekhee now. Beautiful Teekhee what a sweet soul to have touched so many peoples lives.
I am not religious, despite being a spiritual person. Living where I live this is the unusual choice - I think the majority of parents at our school attend church and I don't and I haven't, not since I was a child. I don't not believe, but I don't fully believe either. But I do prayer, and I love churches.
Every country we go to, or even when visiting somewhere in the UK, if there is a church with an open door, I visit. I go inside, I light a candle for my dad and I remember. And now my daughters want to do it too. So we go in and we light a candle for dad/grandad and I say a prayer.
And this week I am praying for all sorts of things. The children all over the world who aren't with their parents, the parents who aren't with their children - not just because of stupid immigration policies, but for all the other reasons too.
I pray for clarity re some big issues I am trying to solve at home and for some smaller ones regarding the shape of my business. I prayer for the health and happiness of my friends and family.
Praying gives me hope, when I think there isn't any. And being an April Kepner fan (if you know, you know!), I can't completely dismiss it's power. I do believe it makes a difference to hope: to expect, to desire, to trust and to want. Next time you light a candle, whether it be Jo Malone or Lidl, don't do to absentmindedly - do it consciously and hope for something.
Nabbed from @chasingdragonfliesblog - the more I hear about the effects of balloon releases the less comfortable I feel about them... Bella adored animals, all animals, so the thought of any commemoration being potentially harmful to nature doesn’t sit well for us
One of my very favourite ways to remember my little girl is to light a candle and take a moment to just send her my love - seems a more fitting act of remembrance and respect to me and it’s something I do very very regularly as anyone’s who’s seen the various candles dotted round my home will testify... (plus is there anything lovelier than a gorgeous scented candle!?!)
Have you been burning the candle at both ends? Take a moment to relax. Light a candle and linger in a calmer space of unforced thought. Create a moment of Zen. And only burn the candle at one end, it works better 🖤
