Dig This Rapper
A stretch of the mind, the same way you would stretch your body in awkward shapes so that you could be more comfortable with the little motions ahead of time
“Everybody plays safe, everybody plays dumb/No one thinks I play fair.. they, are complacent”
“I don’t feel impatient, I don’t think I missed mine/I can feel the matrix, flowing through my enzymes”
When @davidmetcalfphotography was inviting me to be a performer in this celebration, he promised me earlier that he will introduce me to all those incredible poet, author, song writer, dancer, wisdom keeper and elder. He said, "You will love it."
Yes, David was right and I still can't move on from this event.
I met @anunglazoe and another performers. Anungla is a poet from Nagaland, India. I still remember that very powerful word she said on the stage that night "Long before I knew the meaning of the word ‘displaced’ my life had been displaced." Her narrative was also our narrative about the struggling of indigenous people and their culture in this modern life, against the interest and politics.
I am grateful for this experience. David was touched to see all indigenous people he brought to Bali doing a worldwide stage performance and spreading their local wisdom to the world. I could feel the same. I saw many different tribes and nations, different skin colors, languages and traditions, yet get along in harmony and beauty of diversity.
Thank you ❤️
