I did it! Sao Paulo, Copenhagen, Gold Coast, Mexico City, Casablanca, Bangkok; six marathons on six continents in one year.
I have pushed my limit. I ran with a fever and a swollen ankle in Copenhagen, cramped right before the finish line. I survived 2200m elevation in Mexico City, 28C degrees in Bangkok, and brutal jet lags after long-haul flights. I fought my way through live traffic in Casablanca to set my personal best time, and Casablanca wasn't even on my list until Nairobi bailed on me three weeks before the race takes place.
This is a lonely journey, but I am fortunate to visit old friends and make new friends along the way. And I always know, at the finish line, there is a better version of myself, waiting for me.
Believe in yourself because hard work pays off.
My #1 tip is not an exercise or nutrition tip.
It's simply to believe in yourself and your ability to overcome whatever physical, mental, and emotional challenges you face.
If you believe in yourself first, the rest will follow.
