Day 34 - After yesterdays 20.5 mile day up and over three huge mountains we decided just to do a small 16.5 mile day. We hit the 400mile marker then carried on our day stopping for a mini break at a car park we bumped into the nicest family who cooked us hot dogs, gave us beer and water, cookies, crisps and fruit. The kindness of strangers and the trail angels are amazing!! Thank you all so much. Today we met Joe, an 83 year old retired navy Veteran who made us all laugh at his jokes and kept us all interested with his amazing stories from his service days. God bless him and his super kind family. The PCT IS AWESOME #hikertrash#hikergirl#hiker#hiking#hike#pct2018#pct#pctclassof2018#Inspirational#amazing#navy#veteran#bandanagirl
It happens every day, but we’re only lucky enough to be there for it every once in a while. | Sunrise near whitewater preserve.

Day 8 - Mile 161
These photos are from the last few days. The days are beginning to blur together. Today, I made it to Paradise Valley Cafe and loaded up on much needed calories. Food intolerances don’t seem to be an issue when I’m burning this many calories.
The days are growing warmer, and the pains are becoming more fleeting. Medicinal mushroom supplements have really been helpful.
I saw one of the most beautiful, blood-red sunsets tonight just before reaching camp.
I get to hike with a new person each day. What a special experience. I can already tell this is gonna ruin me forever.
Gave food to a man who called me bro;
I-10 Intersection was windy as fuck;
Cache of soda, ooh what luck;
Two days after felt like shit;
Despite that, man this life is it;
Blisters from my heels to my toes;
Trail Angels are the real heroes;
Hitchhiked into Big Bear;
Looking a bit worse for wear;
Showered then went straight to the pub;
