Agree or Disagree? ✨
i have a really hard time with this confession. in advance, sorry for the rant->
okay so, first of all i think there is a really big difference with the targaryen/dragon & stark/wolf and the other families. you see, i dont think anyone actually says catelyn is a fish because she’s a tully. because the targaryens have a real bond with dragons, because of their valyrian blood. and they are, almost, the only ones who can ride a dragon. when the dragon lets them, ofcourse. and the starks also have a real connection with direwolfs. you know how they can all warg into their wolf and stuff? — i’ve never heard catelyn talk about fish dreams.
so yeah, there’s a difference there.
also i know this isn’t a sexist thing, but i really hate the whole ‘married into’. jon isn’t any less a stark than he is a targaryen. just because his dad is a targaryen doesn’t mean he isn’t a stark anymore? his mother actually did so much more to ‘make’ him. his dad only gave his sperm, and now suddenly he’s more of a targaryen? when his mother carried him for 9 months, kept him save in her uterus and after that died to let him life. (this doesnt have anything to do with the confession but lets be real, he deserves the title ‘stark’ rather than ‘targaryen’ already only for lyanna’s sake.)
and let alone the fact ned stark raised him, taught him everything. he grew up in winterfell, not as a stark, but definitely as a wolf. so you see, why would he be a dragon rather than a wolf? lyanna gave so much more to him than rhaegar did, and ned didn’t only give him a childhood, he also gave up his honor and almost lost his wife only to save him.
i really don’t think you can say jon isn’t a wolf. bc yeah there are parallels between him and his dad, but based off personality he’s a wolf and not a dragon.
