Strength to handle separation and it’s fallout isn’t something we need to try to get. We don’t need to think ourselves into being strong or do anything to be resilient. We ARE strength and resilience at our core. The more we try to be these things, the further away we get from seeing it’s who we really are anyway. Uncover your strength, it’s right there for you. ❤️
Taking the time to grow.
On show day in 2016 I weighed 165lbs and in around 18-20 months I got up to 205lbs (40lbs gained).
Since competing I’ve taken almost 2 years off from dieting. For the most part I’ve in a large caloric surplus. However, the most significant growth was definitely in the last 8 months.
The weight gained is not completely lean mass but a solid percentage is. I personally think I competed too early in 2016. I lacked muscle and knowledge resulting in an inefficient prep.
This time round I have a more solid starting point. With more knowledge and the help of @jamescoultonfitness I’m hoping to bring a massively improved physique (possibly to the stage) this year.
Road to 220 KG deadlift ( bulking 4000 cals a day atm). Couple sets of 180 kg DL for 3 reps.
Tag a friend who you think can pull a heavy deadlift 💪. And always remember kiddos, LIGHT WEIGHT BABY!
