Woke up with crazy allergies & didn’t think I was going to make it through my morning workout.
I decided to get a head start on my work for the day & check in with my challenge group while chugging my preworkout ⚡️⚡️
I pushed play to sweat it out with a 35 minute HIIT workout that left me sweaty & finishing 30 oz of water 💦 💦 & I never drink during my workouts but I needed it!
I’m feeling 100 times better & ready to tackle this beautiful day! Always listen to your body but I go by the rule of thumb - if it’s from the neck up, sweat it out but if it’s from the neck down, take it easy! Happy Friday!
Who’s happy it’s Friday? Make sure you keep yourself and your families safe this weekend - especially because it’s going to be a hot one! Here are tips to give you a refresher (since it feels as if we haven’t had a summer in years with this long cold winter!)
1️⃣ Stay hydrated! Keep drinking water and other liquids even when you don’t feel thirsty
2️⃣ Cover up. Wear thin fabrics, big hats, light-coloured, and breathable clothes
3️⃣ Limit your time in the sun. The hottest part of the day is between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm. Even if your child is wearing sunscreen, they shouldn’t be out in the sun for long periods of time.
4️⃣ Use the UV Index forecast. Use this as a guide for sunscreen use. Did you know anything over a UV Index of 3 requires sunscreen, and over 8 needs some extra protection.
5️⃣ Reapply sunscreen often. Use lots of it, apply it early in the day, and then reapply in the afternoon, then in the early evening again. Don’t forget to find one with a high SPF!
