Are you craving a lie in tomorrow but know you're probably unlikely to have one for the foreseeable future because... kids?
This evening I am having a REVERSE LIE IN... a genius idea from @beccyhands!
Here’s her theory: she says if you can't have a lie in in the morning then you should try having one in the evening instead!
As soon as the kid is in bed, tonight I’ll be gathering all the things I’d want for a morning lie in, a cuppa, a good book and my phone (might even treat myself to some toast!)... I’ll be taking it all upstairs and getting comfy in bed!
By doing this you get to relax & do all the things you would usually do in your morning lie in, even though it's the evening!
Having your 'lie in' in the evening is said to benefit you in two ways...
1). By being in bed doing all those relaxing things, rather than being downstairs, your body will relax and you will notice when you are tired and will be more likely to switch off and go to sleep earlier than usual.
2) When you get woken up at 5am by the kids, you won't be so annoyed that you missed out on a lie in because you already had one!
I am trying this tonight.. who is with me? (not literally, that would be weird!)
What will you be taking with you for your reverse lie in?
The truth in the sermon this Sunday may just change our lives and keep us from all kinds of danger. I will be talking about the great benefit and power of humility and the destructive nature of pride. The sermon is called “Humility before Honor.” This is a message anyone and everyone needs to hear, so even on Memorial Day Weekend, consider inviting friends and neighbors. Lives could be changed this Sunday! ~Pastor Tim Porter⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
