I rarely use a tripod because I usually capture my photos in the midst of doing something else like exploring or hiking. Therefore, I don't like to be bogged down by extra stuff. This has forced me to resort to creative means in order to capture long exposure shots. This particular photo was accomplished by wedging my phone into metal slats of a railing (hence the railing in the upper left corner of the picture). In this photo, I feel like the railing adds perspective and makes the picture more interesting. Could not have accomplished a 30 second exposure without it!
