Hey Sherwood Park clients!
Ask and you shall receive, we can’t let Red Deer have all the fun right?
Our trainer Mikayla (@theonegoal.lifestyle) is putting on a "Booze Run" fun run for all clients who want to participate!
It takes place July 28 (Saturday) starting at Noon at the Broadmoor Golf Course, heading up to Wild Wings then over to Headquarters. You will spend roughly 45mins at each location where we will have some drinks and some fitness related challenges of course!
This will be about 6.3KM of running. We will be running as a team and leaving nobody behind! If someone falls behind, be ready to get a few extra steps in to pick them up. ALL FITNESS LEVELS WELCOME!
There is a max of 15 spots open and this IS open to the public, so it is on a first come first serve basis. Registration is $60 per person and We will have a sign up sheet at the front desk tomorrow!
Included in this is a 5 week running plan, some free drinks (bring cash if you’d like extra!) and some fun games at each location.
Sign up ASAP, this is bound to sell out very quickly! Please get your registration fees to Mikayla as she will be collecting this for the activities!
The Castle Downs Family YMCA opened its doors 20 years ago today and has been serving the community since. As an organization we are so proud to be a part of such an amazing community and that we are more than a fitness facility but a place to gather and belong. Deadlifts felt super heavy today. Started with my warm up sets, moved up to 242 lb and that felt very heavy. Moved down to 220 for 4x5, and realized that mama didn’t raise no betch so moved back to 242 and ended with 2x5 touch and go. Lifting is mental, you just have to know what you’re capable of and trust that your body will move the weight. After did some weighted pull ups at 10 kg.
