Slow down the rain going down the drain. Welcome to Water Wednesday.
As the snow melts and the spring rains are upon us, our storm drains help to keep our streets and homes from flooding but you can slow the impact of rain through Low Impact Development Techniques or LID.
LID techniques mimic the natural hydrological cycle through flow control, detention, filtration, infiltration and treatment. LID encompasses the use of wetlands, storm ponds, permeable pavement, tree boxes, bioswales, native landscaping, rain gardens, rain barrels and rooftop gardens all aid in the management of stormwater to keep our rivers clean. #canadaswater#tucanada#water#waterwednesday#waterwednesdays#yourwater#lowimpactdevelopment#slowrain

What’s in my water ? I ditched the lemon in water for a number of reasons (mainly because of what it did to my teeth) for 2 drops of Grapefruit essential oil in my water. Why? To boost my metabolism, and is a potent anti-bacterial, and gives me my vitamin C dose all at once ! YES PLEASE! #agua#water#fortify#yourwater#essentialoils#holistic @organicfooduae
Did you know that approximately 50% of all the water used throughout Orange County comes from imported supplies? The rest comes from a vast underground aquifer, recycled wastewater, and several small groundwater basins. #YourWater#MWDOC#WaterIsLife
