What does self care look like for you.
For me it’s being able to cry when I need to, catch up with great friends, always finding the times to #reflect#meditate and most importantly remember to be #grateful . 💜
Another beautiful day in Buxton. The morning dogwalks are so much more pleasant. People tend to be more friendly in the a.m, I got 3 'Good mornings' today. This friendliness seems to get diluted as the day goes on, the stress of the day getting the better of everyone it would seem. #buxton#dogwalking#friendly#paviliongardens#reflections
Everyone who carries a burning touch in his or her heart, with a distinct sense of destiny, must have this same cry.
As we begin to understand that the reason and purpose for our existence is to give expression to divinity.
The moment we realise our lives were meant to impact generations, and to demonstrate the love and power of God, we begin to take our 'work' more seriously!
The beauty about growing older is that we have accumulated many amazing experiences, we have fought numerous battles, defeated illnesses, fought back from financial ruin, faced death in the face and survived it, learnt to relate and live in harmony with people of different races, survived the politics of the workplace, learnt the power of leadership, learnt how to operate within laws, learnt how to spar with success without embracing it!
Through it all, the one constant is God, who saw us through and brought us through it all. His love, faithfulness, mercy and grace showered on us in abundance.
Now our heartbeat must be as the Psalmist's, keep me alive Father, so I can share with the next generation all you taught me, and how I came through numerous battles smelling of roses. So they too will trust in you and have hope from the evidence and strength of my experiences.
How do you want to record yours for posterity? In books, music, television, teaching through story telling or what? Make your experiences count!! #reflections#musings#heavenlywisdom#impactinggenerations#fridaythoughts
