Spending all my time today going through all my gouache paints and swatching them to see which ones I’m going to put in my new palette. I’m pretty sure I’ve never actually bought any of them and have inherited them from friends over the years. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
When I saw this back in 2014 my heart skipped a beat.
It called my name and asked for immediate attention. I surrendered.
Now, 4 years and many swatches later, I am dismayed - no matter what I do with it, it still produces a colour mush. Any ideas? I still love the hues.
So far I’ve tried entrelac and short-rows. The next technique is going to be knitting on the bias.
Before I get into the next full collection of colors, I'm going to spend this week showing you some colors from the 2010 Summer Flutter collection! 🌸💐🦋 The first one I'll show you is "Flower-to-Flower" Such gorgeous shimmer to this pink, don't ya think? 🤗☺️
Swatching for sleeves. They’ll be blue but I didn’t want to wast the blue yarn for swatch haha. It’ll be a really nice compliment to the color work dress I’ve been building. Now I just have to figure out the math of it all. #swatching#knitwear#japaneseknittingstitchbible
